19A - Idea Napkin No.2
1) You. Who you are. What your talents are. What your skills and experiences are. Also: what are your aspirations? Specifically regarding your business concept, how do you see this business (if you were to start it) playing a role in your life?
My name is Giovanna Moraes. I did not receive direct feedback from my post, but throughout the course and my working more specifically on my project, I came to find some more aspects of me in regards to this project. Through the interviews of the people closest to me, I found that people really value and notice that I am a good communicator and networker. I know being a good networker is very crucial to this position so I highly value that insight and point of view. I have to network heavily in the beginning of my business to make it more well known. So I received the information throughout the course very well to make better decisions.
5) What are your core competencies? What sets you apart from everyone else? Also: what do you have that nobody else has?
My core competencies are that I really am passionate about my project because I believe so heavily in us being able to make a larger impact to lower the rate in which climate change is increasing. This sets me apart somewhat because I am willing with people with the skills to construct this to make a very high quality product (that greatly diminishes our carbon impact). I will be running the business to make sure it doesn’t leave the quality I initially agreed to work with, and I will be managing the finances because people value price the highest in my product.
These five elements work well because I didn’t ignore my passion in my core competencies, but have been able to integrate more technical business skills to ensure the product is well received and we can make an impact. My skills in networking and marketing and financing work well with how I segment my market and ensure my product will sell. I have made a more thorough understanding of my market and customers, and communication will be vital to be able to encourage people to buy my product because it has a very long life, and people will choose to engage in my product very few times in their life. My weakest element is not having the core skill to make the product, but from my feedback, people have made me recognize that I work well in a team and I can effectively lead a strong team that do have the skills I don’t

2) What are you offering to customers? Describe the product or service (in other words, how you'll solve customers' unmet needs).
I am offering a sector of sustainable architecture to governments, corporations and the common family interested in this market. I still do not have the technical knowledge to construct my product/service, but I would like to implement a sustainable practice that is more affordable but does not lack in the quality people want. I will solve the unmet need of people wanting to have a larger impact of climate change.
3) Who are you offering it to? Describe, in as much detail as possible, the demographic and psychographic characteristics of your customers. Think especially of this question: what do your customers all have in common?
I am offering to government buildings, corporations, and the common person. They all have in common that they want to engage in sustainability. The difference is whether it is out of need or want, and that is important for me to evaluate because my targeting and marketing should be different to those two groups.
4) Why do they care? Your solution is only valuable insofar as customers believe it's valuable to them. Here, explain why customers will actually pay you money to use your product or service.
- First is the government because climate change is an economic and political danger. They should feel the need more heavily than the want.
- I want to advertise to corporations so they engage in social responsibility. They have to have more of a need to be able to balance off with their somewhat want.
- Lastly I want to target people with some more money that are very eco friendly, or if not target people that believe in long-term goals to see the advantage of sustainable practices to their budget.

Feedback Memo
For this idea napkin, I didn’t completely change what I had previously written or believed in. I implemented into it. I received feedback about myself and the people who would be interested in my product, that I felt necessary to include. In my first idea napkin, I focused more on why I was passionate about my product (which I still highly am!) but now I focused more on my skills and limitations (the former being my good networking skills and technical business skills, and the latter being my limitation on technical skills to actually construct the product). I care about my product, and want to make sure it runs to a very high standard.
