Domain Expert
This would be someone who's engaged in the same type of business activity as you would like to be. They may own the same kind of company that you would like to own, or they may be a technical expert who knows a lot about the kind of product or service that you would like to produce.
I spoke with Cory, who is a third year Landscaping Architect major. I contacted him because I knew he could give me good insight on some new insight to my project. It is also interesting because it is a little different than the sustainable building architecture I am focusing on. Yet he knows a lot about the topic of sustainability. He was willing to speak about this because he is highly passionate about this topic as well. He serves as a great domain expert, because he isn’t limited to one area.

Market Expert
This would be someone who is targeting your market with similar products services -- or knows a lot about conducting customer research in your area -- or represents a major piece of your market (this might be most applicable with B2B markets).
Isa studies public relations. I thought to talk to her because she has various friends in sustainable and in architecture. She told me she thinks I should market my segment very similarly to what I have been doing. She thinks the biggest opportunity are married couples who have the money to invest in either a whole building or at least a segment.

Denise is a junior in UF sustainability and the built environment major. Her specialization is high performance green building systems. She is a friend of mine. She would serve as my consultant so I make better decisions in my buildings; such as purchasing decisions, building decisions and how I should operated after it is built. Ultimately saving energy and maintenance costs.

This experience requires you to do a little 'targeted networking.' How will this experience shape how you participate in any future networking events? Did this experience differ from your networking experiences in the past? How?
I think I have to do more focused research still. Talk to actual corporations. But this helped me because I targeted people who were highly interested in my topic, even highly passionate and work their lives towards making sustainability a livelihood for everyone.

HI Giovanna, I agree that this experience required targeted networking, and made me focus on my research more as well. I like how your supplier was a sustainability major which makes sense in your field of study. Sustainability is a great subject and I think you should keep researching it. You have no grammar errors and did well on this assignment.
